Knecht Filter
Originally founded in 1899 in Germany, KNECHT started producing air, oil and fuel filters in 1929. In 1955, the company became the first in Europe to use filter paper in filters for engines. KNECHT is now part of the global MAHLE Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of filters and filter systems. For over 80 years, the Mahle Group has been one of the leading international manufacturers of high-quality components for the automotive and engine industry.
KNECHT offers a comprehensive product range encompassing air, oil and fuel filters for passenger cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. The brand continuously expands its filter range with innovative, high quality products. This includes eco filters that can be completely incinerated and cabin air filters, all of which are produced to original equipment quality.
All the company’s products are quality certified and are subject to multistage quality control. KNECHT auto filters are supplied to practically all large OE manufacturers, including BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, Opel, Porsche, General Motors, Seat, Renault, Volvo, Saab, Rover, Rolls Royce, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Skoda.
The company supports the development of its brands through comprehensive scientific research and it is this scientific approach which puts KNECHT Filters at the leading edge of filter manufacturing technology and makes the brand the choice of the world’s most prestigious manufacturers.
Additional Details
KNECHT has recently focussed its efforts on filters for Asian and leading European manufacturers and KNECHT filters are now OE on many Asian vehicles. MAHLE places particular value on the fact that new trade products are brought onto the market as close as possible to the start of the vehicle’s production and, in most cases, before the first service interval. Accordingly, the “time to market”, i.e. the period of time required from product development to market launch, is given a high priority.
